Aside from continuously working on improving our environmental impact, Newmet has begun planning an exciting growth phase!
The main idea behind our ecosystem is to find and nurture young talent. As it is becoming increasingly difficult for the younger generations to assimilate due to fierce competition and volatile market conditions, there is a growing number of unemployed people with otherwise ample qualifications. Newmet will provide such individuals with internships and apprenticeships, where real hands-on experience is provided. This will present the candidates a basis to either continue their work with Newmet, or use their experience in finding a new job. We believe this is a mutually beneficial way of giving back to society; by educating the next generation and providing for opportunity in times of economic hardship.
This project will eventually provide a multitude of opportunities for apprenticeships, internships, and of course, permanent roles. Once we have realized our plans, we will implement a developmental ecosystem for the aspiring business people of tomorrow.
